IPTA were commissioned to maximise the development opportunity of a site that accommodated four dwellings. The proposal of eight dwellings needed to respond to the density constraints and physical rhythm of the street scene, which was achieved by, gradually stepping the houses to also allow provision for access and parking for the site. IPTA explored different design variations.
